Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Hiked by Rs.111 from 1st January

On New Year’s Day 2026, the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders was increased by Rs.111 across major Indian cities, increasing costs for hotels, restaurants and other businesses, while domestic LPG prices were not changed. After the hike, a commercial cylinder costs Rs.1,691.50 in Delhi (earlier Rs.1,580.50), Rs.1,642.50 in Mumbai (earlier Rs.1,531.50), Rs.1,795 in Kolkata (earlier Rs.1,684) and Rs.1,849.50 in Chennai (earlier Rs.1,739.50). Domestic LPG prices, however, remain steady, with a 14.2-kg cylinder costing Rs.853 in Delhi, Rs.852.50 in Mumbai, Rs.879 in Kolkata, Rs.868.50 in Chennai, Rs.890.50 in Lucknow, Rs.860 in Ahmedabad, Rs.905 in Hyderabad, Rs.916.50 in Varanasi and Rs.951 in Patna. The hike is expected to put pressure on the hospitality sector and could lead to higher food prices, while households have received relief as domestic LPG cylinder prices have been kept steady.
