The following are the steps to enrol for Baal Aadhar:

Step 3 - The Aadhaar number of one of the child’s parents must be provided compulsorily for authentication and Baal Aadhaar will be linked to the parents Aadhaar.
Step 4 - All relevant details and a mobile number that the applicant wishes to register with Baal Adhaar must be filled in on the Baal Aadhaar application form.
Step 5 - A photograph of the child or minor will be taken, and no biometric will be recorded if the child is below five years of age.
Step 6 - Collect the acknowledgment slip, after completing the above steps.
Step 7 - Baal Aadhaar will be dispatched to the designated address, after verification SMS is sent to the mobile number as mentioned in the application form.

Starting from 1 July 2025, only those who have successfully authenticated with Aadhaar will be able to access Tatkal tickets purchased through IRCTC's official website and mobile app. To book Tatkal tickets online, customers must properly link their Aadhaar number with their IRCTC user profile. To book train tickets under the tatkal quota, customers must link their Aadhaar numbers with their login IDs, according to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). Only 12 million of the more than 130 million active customers on the IRCTC platform have Aadhaar-verified accounts. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced that all medical college teachers in India must mark their attendance by using the Aadhaar-based facial recognition app from 1 May 2025. This step is being taken to stop the problem of fake teachers who are shown on paper but do not actually work at the college.
